An Accident can be defined as "A sudden harmful happening caused by human carelessness". Life is
uncertain and fleeting in its nature. Man adopts adequate measures for his safety but he cannot defy fate. Thousands of people lose their lives in accidents daily. Once, my friends and I made a program to visit swat Valley. One day, we proceeded to our destination. At last, we reached the scary road of Malakand Pass. The scenery around was amazingly captivating. Lush green tress and bushes were growing on the slopes of the hills. The silvery clouds were floating in the sky. The cool and gentle breeze was blowing from the green hills. All this created thrill in us. All of a sudden two buses overtook us at an extremely high speed. The reckless drivers did not know that they were engaged in a death-race. Abruptly a truck appeared from the curve of a cliff and collided with one of the buses.

There was a loud bang and the vehicles jammed into each other. The second fast flying bus also crashed against them and the three rolled down the slope at a terrific speed into the deep gorge below. The piteous shrieks of the ill-starred passengers echoed in the hills. We got down the jeep quickly and ran to the spot to help the passengers. Many men, women and children had died. Some were lying seriously injured. Pieces of human bodies were also lying here and there. After sometime, the police arrived there. The injured were taken to the hospital. We cancelled our program and returned with heavy hearts.
