Matt Cutts and Guest Blogging
In his article, Matt Cutts mentioned that bloggers should avoid using Guest blogging any more as it is taken as a spam effort not a valid and respectable SEO practice now. There are several reasons why this useful approach turned into a false and ineffective manner and did not play any role to make money online blogging.
First Reason
According to Matt Cutts, people are making wrong usage of
Guest blogging as they have made it a constant source of link building.
Second Reason
Many blogger who want to make money fast with their blogs
have made guest posting as a way of buying traffic that tend to increase their
blog page rank. Getting higher PR with such kind of action is truly against
Google’s quality guidelines and this is not a sensible effort anymore to make money online wisely.
Third Reason
Many newbie have used and are using Guest posting to buy
links that in return has decreased the worth of sincere and hard working guest posters who are
not violating Google quality guidelines in any way. Therefore, such illegal way
has minimized the importance of actual worthy guest blogging.

Conclusion
It does not mean that you simply stop doing all guest posting but, it means that relying on just guest posting for deep optimization is no longer beneficial. There are many other approaches that may be used in order to increase worth of your blog to make money online wisely such as writing valuable content for your own blog, choosing and using top paying keywords, usage of ALT tags etc.
